The Dad decided that instead of merely hiding eggs around the house this year, he was going to write clues as to where they were hidden, so that he could hide them in much more devious places. With rhymes, riddles and a few TV/movie references, he had The Boy scratching his head for about 3/4 of an hour.

This is very cool. You know if you keep creating such a nice childhood for Ian he isn’t going to have anything to talk about in therapy.
That’s the plan. Can’t you just see it?
“Um, my mom made me see interesting places in the world… and made me make up my own mind about what I believe after hearing both sides of the story… and let me find (or helped me find) interesting ways of learning the things I needed or wanted to learn…”
Oh this kid is just so going to need years of therapy because he won’t fit in to the general dysfunction around him.
What a great idea! Man, I could have gone almost an hour without hearing “Mom, we’re bored” and I missed it?!
I’m saving this one for next year!
