If you saw the comics this weekend, this might have made you think of me. Or not. But it sure got our little Sunday Morning Doughnut Group laughing. This is so my family.
Several years back, when Padawan Learner was just a wee Youngling, my brother bought him a metal handled lightsaber, with a glass light tube that glows when you flip a switch and emits the zhing-zing sounds you hear in the movies when it touched something. He admitted later that before he gave it to Padawan Learner, he took it out into his backyard at night and had lightsaber fights with his roommates.
I have the swanky metal and glass Darth Vader lightsaber. It is totally awesome.
Well, I have to say, no swanky metal and glass lightsabers at my house. My husband is a big fan of Star Wars. I’m not telling him about the lightsaber things…I will have to figure out a way to incorporate it into the decore of my lovely Southern living room.
Good idea about keeping it a secret, cbgrace. Becareful, once you start decorating with Star Wars “peripherals”, it’s a slippery slope…
