“Just being around her again is… intoxicating.” – Anakin, Star Wars II: Attack of the Clones
Music is remarkable in its ability to pull my everyday thoughts from me and get me thinking about things that should, frankly, not be discussed in polite company. I’ve been uploading our CDs to the iTunes player, so I can transfer what we want to our iPods, and have been listening to the collection as other songs load.
Dave Matthews’ voice, in particular, is intoxicating. If I was forced to make a Freebie List, I’d be hard pressed not to add his name. We found the album Crash in Dad Windu’s car the other day and some of the songs on there… woo boy.
*fanning myself to cool down*
“Crash Into Me”, “Two Step” and “Say Goodbye” had me wondering where the nearest hotel was as we drove on Saturday night. Dave Matthew’s husky voice, that smokey saxophone and all those assorted wind instruments is a dangerous combination for me.
Episode 3.05: The gang consider what five celebrities would be on their “freebie lists” — people they could sleep with without their significant other getting upset.
Chandler: ”Well, we have a deal where we each get to pick five different celebrities that we can sleep with, and the other one can’t get mad.”
Ross: ”Ah, the heart of every healthy relationship: Honesty, respect, and sex with celebrities.”
Monica: “So, Chandler… who’s on your list?”
Chandler: ”Uh, Kim Basinger, Cindy Crawford, Halle Berry, Yasmine Bleeth, and, ah, Jessica Rabbit.”
Rachel: ”Now, you do realize that she’s a cartoon… and way out of your league?”
Chandler: ”I know, I know. I just always wondered if I could get her eyes to pop out of her head.”

ha,ha! I have a thing for John Mayer. I know, I know, but his voice is AMAZING!
Mom #2 loves all music of all kinds, but when she puts on Steely Dan, I know she’s getting restless . . . that’s our road trip music!
I had totally forgotten about that Friends clip….priceless!!! My life basically IS a soundtrack. I associate everything in my memory bank with some song or another. So the answer is YES. Songs can yank me back and forth emotionally before I even know what has hit me!!
I’ve been listening to Belfast Child by Simple Minds. Don’t know, but I just love this song.
