Things Worth Remembering

The three habits that lead to success are: Patience, Application, and Vision.

Take care: The person who will tell others' faults to you - will tell yours to others.

It is always better to be underestimated.

There are three things that are better than riches: Health, Freedom, and Honor.

Think swiftly, speak softly, act wisely.

Homeschool websites are generally just that, homeschooling info, family info, “What do I do now?” questions. Potentially interesting if you’re a homeschooler yourself, but a bit of a yawn otherwise. Very occasionally, however, something truly wonderful happens. This is one of those times. Read through a bit until The Great Crockery Debate begins.

  • Oh, my, I’m just dying here. I’m on page four and am wiping tears from my eyes.

    Thank you for this!

Oh this is PRICELESS! Like Musing wrote above, I am laughing so hard my daughter thinks I’ve totally gone off my nut.

And on a totally different note, I just knocked my Kit Fisto action figure off of his grizzly bear mount as I was reaching for a kleenex to wipe my eyes from all the laughter.

  • That is too funny! I will be forwarding this on to my friends, and we shall continue the great crock-pot debate ;)

  • ACK! I am fixing you now… You have moved your space station.. OR wait, is that star trek???

  • SabrinaT: I prefer to think of it as the rebel base.

I’d missed this thread and it was just what I needed this morning, in so many ways. I’d not been on that particular board for some time, for just the reasons the first poster expressed; it’s refreshing to see a bunch of creative, expressive, not-taking-themselves-overly-seriously people on that forum, which can get a tad preachy at times.
