“Your highness, this is a battle I do not think we can win.” - Captain Panaka, Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace
Padawan Learner asked me this morning, referring to the Charlie Daniels Band classic, “Wouldn’t it be that the devil went up to Georgia?”
I countered with, “Not if the devil lived north of Georgia.”
“Ah,” he replied. “Canadian. The devil went down to Georgia, eh?”
And this is where I now apologize to any and all Canadian readers…

LOL! You know, I was thinking that same exact thing the other day when the radio played that song. Now I know. He doesn’t live in hell. He lives in Canada. Or possibly Ohio. I grew up in Ohio; I would know.
Ah, so that would explain why the devil has a mullet
I’m so NOT a details person. I had never even thought about which in the heck way the devil had to go to get to Georgia. One thing’s for sure, though…he ALWAYS had a layover in Atlanta.
Lol, for some reason this reminded me of the TV show
“Kids Say the Darndest Things”. Guess that ages me a bit, eh?
Well, I’d be offended, but we’re WEST COAST canadian, so none taken. There’s no telling WHO could be about over on that East Coast
.
Ok, now I’m off to find a map and figure out where Georgia is…
hehehehehe….
What? Did some beaver do you wrong? Roughed up by a Mountie? What’s your issue with Canada?
OMK – Hey, I’m not the one who said it. Take it up with PL.
Padawan Learner has a bright future ahead of him. No surprise, of course.
