“From the moment I met you, all those years ago, not a day has gone by when I haven’t thought of you.” – Anakin, Star Wars II: Attack of the Clones
Padawan Learner hit the jackpot. The thing he has been dreaming about since he first held one last year has become reality. Behold, Padawan Learner’s new iPod Touch.
I got proof tonight that he’s going to do just fine in this world. How? His first couple of purchases included the Flashlight, Lightsaber and More Cowbell apps. “I got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell.” Family and friends alike pooled their money to make him the happiest guy in.the.entire.world. I think he’s still in a bit of shock. Any MUST GET apps for the iTouch that you recommend?
Happy Birthday to my favorite young man!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! And what an awesome present! BTW Spore is an App. My lads recommend Epic Pet Wars, Pocket God, Toy Bot Diaries, Glyder, The Chronicles of Inotia, Armadillo. Personally I recommend Pandora’s Box or App Sniper (or both) where you can keep a watch list of apps and wait patiently for them to go on sale.
I’ll have to ask Uber what are some of the best. He is still loving his Ipod Touch!! Congrats to PL on a wonderful birthday surprise!!
Ok – just have to add, if he likes word games at all, Word Fu is on sale at the moment. It probably has the most lad appeal. I think there is a Lite version you can check out for free. Word Warp is also great!
I’ll pass those along, Miss Maccy.
TT: Definitely get Uber’s recommendations. Apparently, the apps that mom thinks are just.so.cool aren’t necessarily the ones a 14 year old thinks are awesome. But come on, the “level” app. Who doesn’t think that’s a must have?
I don’t know anything about apps except that they don’t fall far from the tre.
Ha.
Happy Birthday to the young one!
Happy Birthday to the dear boy! So tell me Obi Mom….did YOU get an iPhone yet or are you still in pay-as-you-go-with-no-bells-and-whistles like your blog buddy?
Ami: True, true. Poor boy.
Theresa: No, I’m still using the two cans and a string.
But you can make a level with a piece of string as well, right? It’s nearly the same. LOL.
I just got a touch myself. I can’t help with apps because I’ve been so busy with James’ b-day that literally the only thing I’ve got working is the e-mail. I get a delicious joy out of trash canning it. Where is the joy in Vista?
Anyway, I have a feeling that what would bring me great joy and what would bring him great joy, probably not the same thing. Well, except for the touch itself.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! PL is quite the handsome boy! I want an I touch!!!
Uhm…. my birthday is coming up in September. I’ll take one of those too.
SabrinaT & SLF: Me too! I think he’s tired of me saying, “Can I borrow that for a moment?”
Happy Birthday PL! He sure looks pleased with his gift!
You, my dear, are also wild with your crazy technology. Kleenex boxes are the limit for me. What next, dessert for a meal?????? I hope your son had a great B-day!
