We just bought an induction range a few months ago and had to ditch my last-forever calphalon aluminum pans in favor of the ridiculously expensive all-clad stainless steel pans. Induction cooking is the THING! We are returning our more sensible way of life, unfortunately I have not found a CSA or food co-op locally, yet. I did run a small CSA a few years ago when we had our market garden. I do miss it. However, since we are leery of ground contaminants and jet fuel spray from the airport we will be growing indoors this year. DD and I have been trying to get information together to do a community garden, perhaps working with one of the local soup kitchens. There are so many in our area that I am sure have skills that would help and in exchange they would get decent fresh produce. It is a plan in the works, but if we can get it going then I will set up a blog just for it. We are lucky too, we can get raw milk nearby as well as also being in a food co-op. I have celiac disease, so I make all our food from scratch (hey, what IS scratch, anyway?)
