What? Two posts in one day? Has the world gone crazy? Perhaps.

In my effort to find these little beauties on super-secret sale, I ran across a website called SHOEBACCA. It’s no Fluevog, I grant you, but it looks like it has the makings of several wasted afternoons in my on-going great shoe search. While SHOEBACCA doesn’t carry the Aldo brand, and I was forced to order elsewhere, I feel it is my inter-galactic duty to pass along an online shoe store making a passing reference in their name to Star Wars. The Force is with them.

You’ll be glad to hear, I am sure, that not only did I find the above lovelies on super-secret sale and in my size, but I ended up getting them in both black and brown. They are, indeed, fabulous.

I’d give up an awful lot in life to be able to run wild through Fluevog‘s with a flaming credit card in hand, despite being a generally well-thought, reasonable and un-frivolous woman most of the time.

But be still my beating heart, who needs a car when you could stop traffic just by standing at the bus stop in these luscious boots? Oh, momma likes.

Why worry about a grocery budget when you could stroll into any restaurant in town in these gorgeous teal pumps and have men knocking each other down just for the privilege of dining with you. (I, for one, would be sure to bring yummy left-overs home for PL and DW.)

In general, I’m not much of a shopping gal, but oh, how I do love high-end shoes. As Yoda and Qui-Gon Jinn experienced last fall, you just don’t get in my way when some pretty footwear comes into view.

Eileen Cook, beloved friend and fellow shoe tart, knows this. She also knows that things are not particularly shoe-shopping friendly right now, budget-wise (prepare for worst, hope for the best, and all that crap). So what does she, who calls herself my friend, do today? She posted about Fluevogs, about how she just bought herself a pair of Fluevogs, and how she is already planning her next pair. Seriously, aren’t these black beauties just the. cutest. shoes. e.v.er? They also cost slightly more than I have budgeted for groceries next month. I could just cry.

Just to torture myself a bit more, I’m going to parade my future (imaginary *sob*) purchases out for you. This one here? The business suits that I no longer wear because I’m a stay-at-home homeschooling mom need these shoes. Need. them. Hell, my jeans need them.

And these yellow beauties? Summer, here I come. Give me a little sundress, a drink with an umbrella, a great book, and I’m there! I can already see myself pedaling around town on my dutch bike in these darlings, bread and flowers secure in the front basket.

And these gray wonders shall ensure that I will never, and I mean never, need to buy a drink again. Bartenders everywhere will be powerless against the seductive lure of these babies. Never underestimate the power of great shoes.

Now, to figure out a way to make them mine… Maybe if I put one of those PayPal links on my blog some well-off fashionista will stumble by and take pity on me…
