Eileen Cook has found a way to combine her love for all things Pooh with my obvious obsession with Star Wars. Really, what are best buds to do when their ”You simply have to see this” moments don’t overlap?  All hail James Hance, a clever creator of fine things. (look at both links)

And to add glorious fuel to the fire, Dad Windu found a way to combine Star Wars with his passion for roundabouts and all things road-related. TomTom, I bow to your awesomeness. First good and then evil.

What? Two posts in one day? Has the world gone crazy? Perhaps.

In my effort to find these little beauties on super-secret sale, I ran across a website called SHOEBACCA. It’s no Fluevog, I grant you, but it looks like it has the makings of several wasted afternoons in my on-going great shoe search. While SHOEBACCA doesn’t carry the Aldo brand, and I was forced to order elsewhere, I feel it is my inter-galactic duty to pass along an online shoe store making a passing reference in their name to Star Wars. The Force is with them.

You’ll be glad to hear, I am sure, that not only did I find the above lovelies on super-secret sale and in my size, but I ended up getting them in both black and brown. They are, indeed, fabulous.

Since I haven’t had a “Star Wars stuff” post lately, I thought I’d pass on a couple of crazy pieces of Star Wars-related memorabilia that I found on Amazon today while cruising around. Each one made me think, “What the…?” OK, the infant/toddler costumes are pretty cute.

I have yet another reason to love Star Wars. Without it there would have been no need to sell those ridiculously heavy replica light-sabers – the ones made with a metal base and a glass “beam”. If I were without this weighty piece of Star Wars memorabilia, I would currently have no clean clothes. For how else would I be able to unclog the laundry chute?

After such a depressing post yesterday, I decided that I owed you all a little bit of happiness. Therefore, I’m going to share my most favorite Lego Star Wars action-figure-making-find. Don’t say I never gave you anything.

Remember the Storm Trooper on a Bicycle picture? Yeah, that’s Balakov’s handiwork. If you check out the ‘Sets’, you’ll see that he photographs more than just Star Wars with Legos, but those are – not surprisingly – some of my favorites.

UPDATE: And to answer Eileen’s question, there are many of Balakov’s images available as prints and cards at RedBubble, but this one is not available yet. Go leave a comment to Balakov about your desire for this particular image to be available as a print, and I’m willing to bet that he would be happy to oblige you.
